My movies-to-watch-out-for list:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Happy Feet - Cutee fat penguins! Tee-hee-hee. Sana palabas pa sha sa Sunday! Puh-leeze!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Stranger than Friction - Can't wait to see this! This is laugh-out-loud comedy I swear! Will Ferrell is such a riot.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting  SAW III - Jigsaw is back! I'm not really a fan of gore movies but strangely I appreciate this one at least story-wise. The first two installments got some sick plot twists and I hope this one will be on the same level.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Borat - because I'm curious I hear it's good. The title sure is funny. He-he.

What's Been Up

I realized I'm a comfort eater. If I feel upset I head to the kitchen and just munch away whatever's getting to me  until the happy chemicals kick in. So for two weeks now I've been on a new diet program called "DO NOT EAT WHEN YOU'RE NOT HUNGRY". So far so good. I can't say I lost weight already but it gives me the feeling that I'm in control of myself, which is what I actually need right now.

Ren finally made up his mind after months of debating with himself what motorcycle to buy. He has been driving me nuts!  Last week, he bought a Honda Wave - black and beautiful. He has upgraded some parts altho I don't which exactly and it looks way cooler now. I'm proud of him because he worked hard and used his own money to buy it.

Marmee has been away for over a week now. She's in Butuan, I think. As usual, I have to sort of take charge of the house. It's not that my sibs are irresponsible. They just need reminding most of the time. It just escapes them that certain things around the house has to be done. It's great that the 3 of us are really close because I can bark orders at them and they can yell excuses back at me and then more yelling but we'll be okay afterwards.

Help Stop Child Pornography

I was having breakfast when I started reading this article on Reader's Digest. After a few paragraphs into the story I just couldn't finish eating. The article was about child pornography on the internet - a real horror that is happening to children worldwide. Images of these children are being taken while they're being molested and tortured and these images are either kept by the offender or shared/sold on the internet. It seems there is no border to the evil man is capable of.

According to a report on cybertipline.com, 83% of the victims of child pornography were in the ages of 6 to 12 and the youngest victims are kids less than 3 years old. Yes, you got that right - babies!!! Images of these children graphically depict sexual activity performed by or on children and 21% showed torture, rape and other violent acts. In the RD story, a kid was kept in a cage like an animal. Obviously, the sick and twisted individuals who collect these images are pedophiles and those who make money selling child pornography. It is reported that child pornography is a billion dollar business.

The internet, while being a great resource for learning, has been the breeding ground of this evil. On the web, child molesters anonymously search for victims, posing as kids and joining kids' chatrooms. A site for child pornography is cheap and easy to produce with a huge and very profitable market.

I am outraged and ashamed that the Philippines is one of Asia's largest suppliers of child porn on the net. Many poor Filipino children are being directly recruited by pimps and partners of child porn rings. Poverty is just one of the driving forces behind this problem. Child pornography is a complex issue that needs to be addressed by governments, law enforcement bodies and the internet community. It is an issue that anyone with a heart should take the time to help put a stop to.

Today, I saw a tv ad calling for support in the fight against child pornography. Visit www.lightamillioncandles.com to learn more about the project and please light a candle, too.

Some Weird Dreams

In my dream, I was with people I knew from grade school. I haven't thought about them in long while now but in this dream we were gathered at a picnic table. It felt like we were having a picnic although there was no food. And then I look to the person sitting next to me and see Jean Claude Van Damme! Even worse is he's not an actor in this dream but a loud gay underwear model! What the hell!

And then last week I think it was, I dreamt of going on a vacation with friends and we stayed in this house sitting on a very steep hill. Then suddenly there was an earthquake and houses were crumbling then there were vampires out to get us. What I remember most about this dream is that it had a nice dark bluish filtered look to it.

While my dreams have been strange lately, thank god they're not the ones I used to have where I'm totally awake but paralyzed and couldn't breathe. It's also cool that I can recall them.

I know that dreams are how the subconscious deal with whatever is going on with our lives. The earthquake dream, according to dream interpreters, may mean emotional crisis, big changes. In my case, it's more of uncertainty. Now, the gay Van Damme dream I have no idea where that came from!

Oh no, I don't want an elephant inside a boa constrictor.
Boa constrictors are dangerous
and an elephant is very cumbersome.
Where I come from,
everything is very small.
Will you draw me a sheep?
